Funerals & Memorial Ceremonies

Having to organise a funeral for someone we love is never an easy time. A funeral can be the chance for family, friends and colleagues to say good-bye and share their feelings, thoughts and memories with others. A funeral represents a final act of love for the person who has died, literally the last thing you can do for them. But in a very real sense, funerals are not about death, but about a life lived, people touched and memories made.

I know the importance of portraying the deceased person’s life, beliefs and personality faithfully. So I work with you to develop a funeral or memorial ceremony that caters for many different belief systems, including secular, Christian, non-Christian, Humanist and Pagan traditions. I want to help you bring a personal touch to your loved ones life celebration and I resist the “one size fits all” approach. I am happy to work with religious officials from your community, or help you to hold a separate ceremony, wake, ash-scattering or memorial service instead of, or in addition to, a religiously-based burial or funeral service.
